Jesus Christ is King & Lord of ALL! Here at AHKC Manurewa we’ve had an interesting start to the year with lots of different things happening. Real Christianity is not boring it’s AWESOME!!! The Word of God tells us that Jesus is the Head and we (the Church) are His body (Eph 1:22 & Col 1:18). So what has Jesus been doing through His body up here in Manurewa, South Auckland?
During the warmer summer nights our usual prayer meeting, that takes place on Thursday nights, went from being in a lounge room, to outside in the park. Those of you who know Mount Fort Park, that’s where the Holy Ghost had us as a church, praying in tongues and calling down fire. We wore our Gospel Force vests too so we didn’t lose each other - lol. Nah it’s just always a great opportunity to represent Jesus when we’re out in public. There were rugby teams training near us and different people walking past randomly, but in the spirit realm demons were being driven out, and chains were being broken by the power and the authority of Jesus Christ.
In the beginning of April we had our Apostle and his family come up for a visit. Seriously who gets to have their Apostle come up for a week, yeah that’s right, Biblical churches who are doing right by the Word of God. The whole week was awesome and I know the disciples here were smitten to the heart about different things the Holy Ghost was saying in order to grow up more and become useful for the Kingdom. But also stirred up and encouraged to see the bigger picture and what God see’s in this nation and in this world. We were taught a new worship song too while they were up called ‘El Shaddai’ written by Phiah Paul who is an awesome disciple in this ministry. It’s really powerful and since then we haven’t stopped singing it. We are His hands and feet here on this earth and so we must always be growing and maturing in His Word so that we can become beneficial to advancing His Kingdom.
During the Easter long weekend we had 4 Mighty disciples from AHKC Gizzy come up on a mission’s trip. They arrived here on Friday afternoon, and then headed straight out to the streets here in Manurewa to preach the gospel and share the good news about Jesus Christ. Being Easter time too was an awesome opportunity to preach the truth about what Easter is really about, the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. These guys loved it and had a blast open air preaching. They joined us with all our regular meetings over the weekend but instead of them turning up to church to receive, they were the ones giving out. The youngest disciple being 13 and getting up on the pulpit to preach the Word on both Saturday and Sunday was so awesome to see, the other’s followed too with word’s that were from the heart and on the Word. They were all really encouraging to everyone up here and we all enjoyed each other’s fellowship over the whole weekend.
It is amazing how God is and how he works with and in his Church. Each different thing that has happened in our church this year has been totally Jesus. We’ve had the privilege to see and experience His love and care for His church by the different things that He has been doing like changing things up and sending disciples on mission’s trips etc. Once again He is the head of the body.
We’ve been hitting the streets here faithfully preaching the Gospel like we are commanded to (Mar 16:15). The Bible also teaches us to heal the sick, contend for the faith, be a light to this dark world, be the salt of the earth and be ye separate. So it’s always an honour to walk these streets as an ambassador for Christ. Representing Him right and preaching the same Gospel that He and all of the apostles did too. Being out amongst our community here on a weekly basis we see a lot of young people sitting round on the streets with no hope and their lives wasting away. It seems they come and sit up town for something to do, but as we keep preaching to them and praying for them and showing them that Jesus is real and He loves them we believe that they will be born again and discipled in Jesus name. We’ve had some funny persecutions happen also while being out on the streets here, one lady yelling out to a young disciple she needed to go back to school and put some nappies back on while swearing and carrying on from across the road. Another car load has pulled up to open-airing on the corner and both driver and passenger were becoming agitated and aggressive yelling out cuss words and violence toward the Gospel. The Bible says in Timothy ‘and all that will live Godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecutions’. So we are honoured to be counted worthy of suffering for the names sake if Jesus. It is a privilege and we find it shows what is truly manifesting inside people’s hearts. We much rather that people just be real with themselves and say what is truly in their hearts instead of being a fakes and liars.
I am a disciple in AHKM and at the end of last year God wanted me to move up to Auckland to continue my discipleship in AHKC Manurewa and apart of this church. This meant that I would be leaving home for the first time as I just finished my last year of high school last year. It was a huge surprise and since making my own decision to move up here to Auckland I have seen God’s grace for me to do this. I’m not at all home sick. I’m able to pay my way without ringing up mum and asking her for money each month. I’ve not looked back on the decision that I made to move. He’s been my comfort and Friend in time of need. I packed all of my gears and moved away from home and God has made it all work out in ways that I know without him in my life I would not have moved away or even lasted as long as I have right now. ‘God’s grace is sufficient for me’ 2 Corinthians 12:9
Holy Ghost Encounter
An awesome testimony to share about one of our prayer nights in the park was a bunch of high school girls walked passed us while we were praying in tongues and they stopped and stared. After a few minutes it got a little weird so we stopped praying and started to chat with them asking them if they knew what we were doing and stuff. Turned out one of them did know she said ‘yeah are you’s praying in tongues’. We said yeah that’s right we’re born again Christians and we’re out here praying tonight. We got to preach the whole Gospel to them and then pray for them. The Holy Ghost spoke directly to one of the girls in the prophetic re-telling things that had happened in her life, whilst praying she broke down in tears and just cried in front of all of us. Afterward we wrote our number on her hand telling them about church on Sundays. Maybe two weeks later a random number txts the ministry phone and it was a sister of one of the girls out of this group saying how she was told all about what happened that night in the park and she wanted to come along and check it out for herself. Holy Ghost!!!
God is so good. I’ve been living in a 2 bedroom unit here in Manurewa South Auckland since August 2011. Our rent is $280 per week. Just recently I received a notice in the mail saying the rent was going to be increased $10 making our rent payment a new total of $290 for our 2 bedroom unit here in South Auckland. I have been told by my real estate agent that the market price for 2 bedroom places here in this area is $360 plus. And I know this is true because I have been helping another disciple look for a 1 bedroom unit and the prices for them are anywhere between $260-$300. God had totally blessed me and my family and provided for us hands down. It doesn’t matter where you live and how expensive the place may be if you serve Jesus Christ and him alone he is Jehovah Jireh my provider!!! Thank You Jesus.
Listening to God
I am a disciple here in AHKC Manurewa and just lately I have been in search of a house for myself. I was ringing lots of places and looking on websites searching for a house. Most of them were either too expensive or too small etc. I just felt I hadn’t come across the right one yet Time was passing by and I really needed to find somewhere soon and then I noticed all the houses were being taken off from being available so there was only 1 or 2 to now choose from and the pressure was on. But I knew that God had a place for me and that it was going to be everything that I needed it to be. So I believed in God and trusted in him that the right one would come along and be mine. Well the next house I went to view, it was great! It’s in a good location close to my church and fellow brethren. The price was cheaper than the others AND it’s mine!!! Hallelujah, I’ve paid the letting fee and will be moving into my new place in 1 more week!!! Thank you Lord, You are faithful and true!!!
I got to pray for a Fijian man who was limping and had pain in his leg. He said to me that he’d had this pain for a long time so had just accepted it to be a part of him now. I bent down and laid hands on his leg praying for the pain to go and that his leg would be healed. At the time he didn’t feel any difference? But after a time I was out preaching and guess who yelled out to me? The Fijian man, waiting to tell me that his leg was healed and the pain had gone. Jesus Christ is Lord
Already we’ve seen God do some amazing things in our area and we want to bring as much glory to Jesus as we can by bearing much good fruit. God is doing a quick work here in those lives that are dead to themselves and alive unto Him. So come on people keep dying the deaths that Jesus commands us to so that we can ALL become useful for our beautiful King Jesus!!! Let’s “Populate Heaven by plundering Hell” in Jesus Mighty Name.
Love You All, God Bless You Guys
